What does it mean to live cruelty free? Outlined below are some very simple guidelines that, if followed, will give you years of worry free service from your vehicle. Expect your car to treat you, how you treat it!!!

* Follow the maintenance schedule as specified in your vehicles Owner's manual. It is very important to service your vehicle. This will help catch problems before they become serious issues and maintain consistent performance and operation of your vehicle.

* Pay close attention to any changes in your vehicle. If your vehicle develops a noise, do not expect it to "go away". Like a new-born baby crying, it means that they need something. A "noise" coming from an engine, or somewhere in the suspension is indicative of a problem, and if resolved early, can prevent a more expensive repair.

* Maintain proper tire pressure. If you check your tire pressure at least once a week, you cut down (nearly in half) the chances that you'll be stranded on the side of the road with a flat tire. A properly inflated tire will ensure that the suspension is operating at it's maximum potential, and reduce drag on the street which will in turn improve your fuel economy. America could improve their fuel economy by as much as 30% simply by checking tire pressures. A cheap, inexpensive, electric tire pump can be purchased from Harbor Freight Tools for $30. You can keep this in your trunk. (It's powered by the cigarette lighter)

* Keep your car clean. A washed and clean vehicle has less "drag" and wind resistance on the street, which not only equates to better fuel economy, but more pride in the vehicle you're driving. A simple "brushless" car wash once or twice a month is all you need. In addition to the exterior, it's important to keep the inside of your vehicle clean as well. A cluttered vehicle can lead to a cluttered mind. If you're going to be stuck in traffic anyway, why not try to make the most of your time in the vehicle? A clean vehicle will improve the quality of the time spent in the vehicle and will lead to far less stress upon arrival at work. It's been said that the average American spends up to 8% of their time in their vehicles. That's a solid year spent in your car if you live to be 80. Why not try to make the most of your time. A good, once a month cleaning is all that is needed to keep the car in top shape. Cleaning whipes, and a simple vacuuming will cut down on the spread of germs and improve the air quality in your car.

Abiding by these simple guidelines will ensure the best experience possible from your automobile with the greatest reliability and longevity.
