Engine Cradle

This is an 83' Citation cradle that I used in my 81' to hold the 4.9L V-8.  The 82 & up cradles are stronger so I rebuilt this cradle before starting my swap.

First step - take it down to bare metal !!  I disassembled the cradle in order to do it piece by piece.

Nicely painted.

Control arm before.

Control arms painted.  I used black on the control arms so the color wouldn't jump out beings the lower half of my X-11 is all black.  Which then reminded me of the sides of the cradle.....

Now they're black.

Even the sway bar gets paint.

All painted - waiting for sway bar bushings....

Now it's time to get the motor on

These two new holes were drilled for the Caddy's front motor mount.

Mark the bottom side...

Now I've got holes for the socket to fit.... kinda like it's look'n at me !!!  

Let's see how it all fits....
