Exhaust & Floor Mods

Here we go again - the exhaust is one of those pains of doing an engine swap like this.  It doesn't help that I have a slight obsession for "True Dual" exhaust.  The routing of the exhaust pipes in the initial swap bothered me to say the least, so since I had decided to "do it right" this time I went for cutting into the floor board/ firewall and fabricating an exhaust tunnel that could house two 2" pipes.  In the original swap the "81 Factor" or lack of an exhaust tunnel led to the pipes be routed under the engine cradle.  This made the pipes visible when you stood a few feet from the car - I was always annoyed with it.  The exhaust will now be completely concealed minus the dual muffler tips out back.  To say it was a lot of work is an under statement, but it's done right now and I'm happy with it.  I used an assortment of smooth mandrel bent sections from the JC Whitney catalog - cutting and sectioning what I needed to make it work and more importantly, flow.  Once the exhaust was completed I had the exhaust manifolds and all the under hood pipes Ceramic coated, which significantly reduces under hood temps, increases exhaust velocity & prevents corrosion.
