Transmission
Nothing too crazy here, the 4t60eHD is standard on the 4.9L motors. The final drive is fantastic for highway cruising, 70 MPH is at 1,900 RPM - even better at higher speeds (on a closed course, of course). The tranny upgrade is a posi traction unit from Phantom Grip. I know there's a difference between limited slip and posi trac and magical dog ballz - I couldn't tell you the difference, all I know is this little baby makes for two solid black stripes when the right foot misbehaves... Thanks to Master Yoda and his GM parts knowledge, we did a performance rebuild using the stronger hard parts from newer model a 4t65eHD transmission. Big T from the Chevy Citations Forever club on Yahoo was kind enough to machine the axle end to it possible to use a slide style snap ring to hold the upgraded diff in place - Thanx guys !!
